GENERAL SURGERY/LAPAROSCOPIC MODELS
EndoSim developed realistic simulation models for common laparoscopic and open surgical procedures using ex-vivo explants. We also carry an assortment of deconstructed task modules to practice basic laparoscopy. Of highest importance is the haptic feedback of our real tissue simulation models, which provide a training experience comparable to a real patient.
Our simulation models use two components: a plastic trainer (hardware) used in conjunction with a disposable ex-vivo specimen (software). Some disposable specimens are hybrid models combining plastic, silicon with real tissue.
Our specimens and trainer rentals are shipped express for on-time and fresh arrival. All specimens are shipped frozen and will require thawing and refrigerated storage upon arrival.
Please see a list of our simulators and specimens below. Custom specimens are available! Please contact us if you are interested in a custom-made training model for your hands-on workshop.
Surgical Simulators/Trainers
LapEASIE-R Laparoscopic Simulator
The new LapEASIE-R Laparoscopic Simulator allows both the use of deconstructed task modules, as well as realistic ex-vivo porcine specimens for laparoscopic training of novices and advanced surgeons.
Compact LapEASIE-R Laparoscopic Simulator
The newest of the LapEASIE-R series. The Compact LapEASIE-R Simulator is a compact version that allows both the use of deconstructed task modules, synthetic models, and realistic ex-vivo porcine specimens for laparoscopic training of novices and advanced surgeons
EASIE-R3 (TM) Simulator with PEG Lid
Our PEG trainer includes a special lid with a rubber membrane to simulate the abdominal wall puncture for the PEG placement.
Foregut
The stomach is adjacent to the abdominal wall which facilitates transillumination.
PEG placement
EASIE-R1 with Laparoscopic Domed Lid
Basic simulation model with anatomically shaped cavity to facilitate a variety of specimens to be used for laparoscopic surgery
Foregut & hindgut
Laparoscopic cholecystectomy
Laparoscopic appendectomy
Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass
Laparoscopic Sleeve gastrectomy
NOTES
Proctoscopy Simulator
Simulation model of the anus to be used with anus/rectum cartridges
Hindgut
Proctoscopy cartridge
Surgical Real Tissue Ex-vivo Models
Upper GI Biliary Explant Specimen
Porcine ex-vivo esophagus-stomach-duodenum-biliary tract-liver-gallbladder specimen
Cholecystectomy
Liver Resection
Lap Fundoplication
Heller Myotomy
NOTES Specimen
For the simulation of NOTES (Natural Orifice Translumenal Endoscopic Surgery), a complete porcine peritoneal cavity explant is used in the EASIER model for the simulation of endoluminal and transluminal surgical procedures.
Colectomy Specimen
Porcine colon and rectum with simulated real tissue mesentery
Laparoscopic colectomy
Intracorporal anastomosis
Proctoscopy Specimen
Cartridge model of a porcine ex-vivo anus and rectum
Proctoscopy
Hemorrhoid ligation
Anal sphincter repair
Laparoscopic Appendectomy Specimen
This specimen contains an artificial appendix sutured to the cecum
Complete Porcine Explant Specimen
Complete porcine ex-vivo upper and lower GI tract organ package (esophagus-stomach-duodenum-liver-pancreas-colon-rectum) . Great for a variety of procedures!
Resection of liver, pancreas, spleen
Laparoscopic Rou-en-y gastric bypass
Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy
Cholecystectomy
Laparoscopic fundoplication
Heller myotomy
Laparoscopic colectomy
Intracorporal anastomosis
Porcine Stomach Specimen
Standard esophagus-stomach-duodenum specimen
Laparoscopic Roue-en-y Gastric bypass
Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy
Gynecologic Surgery Specimens
These models use porcine uterine tissue with altered anatomy to resemble a human uterus. Artificial tumors can be created in the myometrium to simulate hysteroscopic ablation techniques. Bleeding can be simulated with the creation of artificial vessels in the uterine wall
Fallopian-tube ligation
Laparoscopic Ovarian Cystectomy
Laparoscopic Hysterectomy
Hernia Repair Specimen
Full abdominal wall porcine explant with simulated ventral hernia sac
