LapEASIE-R Laparoscopic Simulator

The new LapEASIE-R Laparoscopic Simulator allows both the use of deconstructed task modules, as well as realistic ex-vivo porcine specimens for laparoscopic training of novices and advanced surgeons. The simulator consists of a bowl-shaped base with a Pegboard that can hold task trainers as well as complete ex-vivo organ packages. The simulator includes a dome-shaped top with 25 rubber ports to insert the instruments. A camera is installed, and the laparoscopic image is displayed on the tablet mounted at an ergonomic eye-level height. This simulator can be equipped with a computer to facilitate online virtual training using the Endosim VR training software.
