What to Expect

Equipment: A bronchoscope will need to be secured by you for your training. BSC Prof Ed does not have a bronchoscope to send to you. You will also need an iNod trainer model.

Lung Nodules & Lung Trainer Model: Nodule specimens will be shipped in a small box with each specimen wrapped in plastic saran wrap to ensure it does not dry out. You should schedule nodule arrival at least 2 days prior to the training date. This allows extra time for any FedEx delays, as well as plenty of time for setup. A iNod Trainer Model may be available to you, if needed. Availability for the model will be determined after your request is submitted and will be determined by other trainings or courses that may be happening around your requested training date.

Clean-up / return: Nodules do not need to be returned. The lifespan of any given nodule will vary. To preserve and maximize usage, be sure to store the nodule properly: empty excess fluid from nodule and wrap the nodule tightly in plastic saran wrap to avoid allowing air inside the nodule. Excess air in the nodule causes it to dry out over time. Keep the nodule stored in a room temperature setting (avoid leaving the nodule in extremely hot or cold conditions).

iNod Trainer models will need to be returned after your training has concluded. All components of the model should be wiped down and packed up according to packing instructions (usually found on the inside top of pelican cases). Please double check to make sure all equipment components/pieces were packed up and returned.

Remove all old fedex labels from packages, and place new labels (provided with equipment). If labels were misplaced and you are using your own, please ship directly to Endosim ( 41 Main street, Bolton MA 01740) and provide tracking information to Endosim or BSC Professional Educational team member.

  • If you are shipping directly to a facility, look into shipping address and any facility instructions.
