Urethroscopy & Cystoscopy cartridge

Porcine urethra and bladder (modified to resemble human anatomy). Artificial polyps and tumors can be created in the bladder wall

  • Urethroscopy and cystoscopy

Vesical tumor

Porcine urethra and bladder (modified to resemble human anatomy). Artificial tumors are created in the bladder wall

  • Cystoscopic resection of bladder tumors

Vesical bleeding

Porcine urethra and bladder (modified to resemble human anatomy). Two bleeding vessels are sutured into the vesical wall

Two bleeding vessels are sutured into the myometrium

  • Hemostasis

TURP

Porcine urethra, bladder and enlarged prostate (modified to resemble human anatomy)

  • Transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP)

Cystoscopy Simulation Model

UroSim recently developed a novel cystoscopy model for the training of transurethral procedures. This model uses porcine bladder tissue with altered anatomy to resemble a human urethra and cystic bladder. Artificial tumors can be created in the cystic wall to simulate transurethral ablation techniques. Bleeding can be simulated with the creation of artificial vessels in the bladder wall. These vessels are connected to a roller pump which delivers artificial blood. Hemostasis techniques can be simulated in a hazard-free environment without the risk of patient harm.

Transurethral Prostatectomy Simulation Model

EndoSim has developed a model to simulate transurethral prostatectomy. This real tissue ex-vivo model contains an artificial prostate gland which can be used for laparoscopic and robotic TURP.
