Our company Endosim, LLC produces realistic simulation models for the training of physicians and nurses by using fresh organs obtained from USDA-inspected and certified meat production facilities. Our suppliers operate as federal inspected establishments under the regulatory requirements of 9 CFR 416 (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures) and 9 CFR 417 (HACCP).
HACCP is reassessed annually and SSOP program as per FSIS Notices and regulations. The verification of the above is encompassed in the fact that the product entering commerce from their establishment bears the FSIS mark of inspection (EST. 5497).
The meat production facilities meet FSIS requirement Notice 65-07 and validate it through systems monitoring of the organic acid critical limits and routine testing of products for presence of E. coli 0157:H7.
We recommend keeping the specimens frozen until the day before its use and then refrigerated for less than 24 hours before using them for medical training. Just as food products, the specimens will spoil at room temperature and should therefore be handled with caution. The user of the specimens is responsible for the hygienic handling of our products. We recommend discarding the specimens after a four-hour use at room temperature. They should not be reused or refrozen. We exclude all liability with the use of our specimens. We provide our products at the user’s risk without any guarantees.
